Blessing Bucket

Don’t you just love surprises? I do and I love surprising others! My kiddos and I brainstormed who we can bless for Valentine’s Day. I knew I wanted it to be a mama of littles because I remember how chaotic that season can be. I wanted to provide all the tools so they could make a memory together because lets face it, when you have little ones it isn’t easy to always have things planned. When mine were little I felt lucky to get a shower!

We decided on a cookie decorating kit which is extra fun during Valentine’s Day because of all of the sprinkle options! Who doesn’t love sprinkles?

We purchased everything at Walmart. I grabbed a cute dish towel, cookie cutters, sugar cookie mix, sprinkles, icing bottles, and some paper shred. I put everything in this adorable popcorn bucket and added a cute tag that you can download here!

I did decide to make some royal icing to fill the bottles with. If royal icing isn’t your thing you can buy pre-made icing and that is just as fun. Here is my recipe for royal icing:

1 cup confectioners sugar

2t corn syrup

2t milk

1/4 t vanilla extract

food coloring of your choice.

I add all the ingredients to my mixer and mix on low until it is nice and smooth. It is important it is the right consistency. If it is to thick I add milk until it is the desired consistency. I then separate the icing into separate bowls and add the food coloring. Once it is mixed and ready to go I either fill decorator bottles or ziplock bags and start decorating.

Now comes the best part!! Leaving it on their door step and praying they create lots of sweet and messy memories. Those are the best kind!

Be blessed friends,

Jessica

I Only Have Eyes for You Valentine

Hey love! I love Valentine’s Day! As a kid I remember anxiously awaiting the Valentines edition of Oriental Trading. I also have a February birthday so once I saw the catalogue I knew my big day and Valentine’s Day would be here soon! There is something about all of the pink, the glitter and the hearts that makes me excited!

My two younger ones went to school this year after being homeschooled so it has been a while since we have made valentines for classmates and I am not sure who is more excited!

We found these silly glasses at the Dollar Tree and knew they needed a fun little tag!

As you can see my kiddos are super excited too!

You can download and print the printable here! Attach them with some cute ribbon (which they also have at the dollar tree) and your Valentines are finished!!! How easy was that?

Happy Valentine making!

I’m Stuck on You Slime

Do your kiddos love slime? My Madelyn is obsessed!!!! Seriously, obsessed! Here favorite part? Giving it to her friends just because! That makes this mamas heart burst and overlook the glue, shaving cream and food coloring that seems to have taken over our house!

As I watched her pile up little containers of pink slime I knew it needed a Valentine’s Day printable so here you go!
Get your printable here!

There are a million recipes on Pinterest for slime but we recommend recipes that call for shaving cream or contact solution as an activator! Much safer on little hands!

Pom Pom Love

I am a lover of all things pom pom so the idea to hot gluing them to a pillow case in the shape of a heart was a no brainer! Is it possible to look at a pillow full of pink pom poms and not smile? I mean seriously, I bet you can’t do it!

This project only required a few supplies:

  • pillow cover (mine is from Hobby Lobby)
  • hot glue gun
  • pom poms
  • pencil to draw your design

Before you start make sure you place something inside your pillow cover so you don’t glue the front to the back! A piece of paper works just fine!

After you sketch your design just start gluing! That’s it! Easy peasy and oh, so adorable!

Burlap Heart

I started to make burlap door hangers a few years ago when I found out how easy it was to paint and stencil on burlap. Not only is it easy to paint but this a no sew project which makes it fast! Did you know there was such a thing as colored burlap? When I saw this red burlap I had no plans for it but knew I had to buy it! And I am so glad I did!! Supplies:

  • burlap
  • hot glue gun
  • 22 gauge wire
  • assorted ribbon
  • pliers
  • white paint
  • polka dot stamper

Check our Facebook live video for the directions! Have fun and get creative!!! Think off all the cute door hanger you could make? Santa sack, ornament, pumpkin, carrot, Easter egg, cross, bunny, sun, beach ball and so many more! What would you make?
