Back to School Breakfast

It’s that time of year again! Time for routines, lunches, and homework! I have a love/hate relationship with back to school. I love summers with no bedtimes and no schedules but by the time the end of July is here I am ready for a routine. Can I get an amen?!

I love to celebrate going back to school. Not because it means my babies are leaving but because it is another milestone that needs to be celebrated! And if there is a reason to celebrate you better believe we are going to break out the confetti!

Having 4 kids in 2 different schools and 1 of them homeschooled we didn’t all start on the same day and to be honest the first day is always a little stressful in the morning so we celebrate a few days before. I like it this way because we aren’t rushed and we can enjoy each other and some extra donuts!

My back to school breakfast collection is mostly from the Target dollar spot. I have been collecting things over the years and keep it all in one box so when I see August creeping in I can quickly grab it!

Your decorations do not need to be fancy or take a lot of time to put together. Cute pencils in a mason jar with some ribbon is simple and sweet!

I made cute apple plates by simply using green card stock to cut a stem and leaf! For a placemat, I used scrapbook paper from Hobby Lobby that looks like notebook paper.

I’m not sure what they are laughing at but I feel like it may be at my sweet Maddy! Siblings!!!!!

For our donut cake I just stacked donuts and with some paper straws and washi tape I made cute little flags!

Target had a fun tape selection this year so I used it to wrap around water bottles and juice boxes! That is probably not what they had in mind when they were stocking the shelves!

Somebody, please slow down time! Another school year is here and this mama is not ready for all of the new changes this season brings but they sure are! Praying your school year is off to a great start!

Play Ball Printable

My little man is playing baseball for the first time this year. I will admit that I was a little hesitant about it after I saw the game schedule because our life is already crazy busy but seeing him on the field having the time of his life makes my heart so happy!

Since I love a theme and any reason to celebrate I knew I had to take advantage of all of the cute baseball themed snacks that are out now! First, were these adorable cupcakes that come in two flavors. He chose chocolate. Smart boy!

Then I started thinking of how else I could use these yummy baseballs and this idea popped in my head!

Add a glue dot to the glove and you have this….

What a fun snack to bring after a game! It is even a fun treat for little man’s lunchbox! I have added both printables for you to have fun with! For the glove I just cut along the lines! Easy peasy!

At this point I started thinking of more fun treats to add tags too and this was a no brainer! I have a feeling this won’t be the only baseball post!

Grab your printables here and here!

Play ball!

Let’s Party Printable

We have been busy with birthday parties around here! With 4 kiddos someone is always going somewhere and I knew I needed to be a little more organized! I created this cute little printable to attach to gifts! I love that it is perfect for boys and girls and saves me on buying so many cards!

Sometimes I just add them to a small gift for some of my girlfriends too! And this bright, fun, curly bow…Dollar Tree for the win!

There are so many different things you can do with them! It was a perfect addition to this fun Ulta gift for the make-up loving teen!

I love for the gifts I give to be personal so I struggle giving gift cards, even though I know they are a teenagers dream come true! By adding this bright and colorful tag it can take a gift from drab to fab! Print off a few sheets so you always have them on hand!

Happy partying!!

So Glad We are Peeps Printable

I just love Easter!!! Everything about it makes my heart so happy! It is another opportunity to remind those around us how loved and appreciated they are! I wanted to whip up a sweet treat with my kiddos so they could say thank you to the people in our lives who bless us in so may ways!

This took just a few minutes and a certain 6 yr old loved being mommy’s helper! Here is what you need:

I melted the candy melts according to the package directions and then it was time for the peeps to take a dip!

Once my little guy was coated I covered him in the happiest sprinkles I could find!

It is important to make sure they are completely dry before you bag them up! They are adorable just like this!

Once they were ready I bagged them up and printed and cut this super cute tag! Now they are ready to pass out to some of our sweet friends!

Want to save this for later? No problem! Go ahead a pin it!

Praying your Easter is blessed my sweet friends,

More Precious than Gold

I love a printable! Adding a sweet little tag can take the ordinary and make it extraordinary! I wanted to do a little something for my kids teachers just to remind them of how thankful we are for them.

I headed to the Dollar Tree to pick up some yellow paper shred, Rolos, and these mini pots. Once I got home I stuffed the pot with paper shred and piled in some yummy Rolos. I printed off this fun printable and tied it on with some fun ribbon.

So simple and so sweet! Sometimes it just the unexpected treat that can make someones day! I hope they love it!

Happy St. Patty’s Day!

Nothing But Net!

Do you live in a house of ballers? I sure do! Both of my boys eat, sleep and play ball! If I don’t hear the sound of a ball bouncing I know something is up. Jackson is to old for cute basketball snacks but not my sweet Bentley! He is still at the age where mamas sign up to bring a team snack so I jumped at the opportunity to make something cute! If you are on the list as snack mom I have a free printable just for you!

The snack was quick and easy! Cheese balls (because they look like basketballs!) in a clear bag tied with some cute basketball ribbon. I punched holes in the tags and tied them on with a string! Easy peasy and so cute!!!

Need a healthier option! I whipped up these last year! All you need is cuties and a sharpie!

I would love to see pictures of your basketball players! One of mine seems to be all grown up! Don’t blink mamas of littles!

Happy Saturday sweet friends!

Pool Noodle Birthday Candles

I LOVE celebrating my kids birthdays! I always have! I have the best memories of parties my mom threw for me and I knew it was something I wanted to continue for my own kids. This past week my sweet Savannah turned 12. I am not even really sure how that happened.

Mamas, can you feel my pain? I mean, she was just born, like yesterday. Here we are the last year before she is a teenager. I can’t even.

The older they get the more I want to hold on to tradition and continue big celebrations for them! I thought it would be fun for her to wake up on the morning of her birthday with a yard full of candles! So, off to the dollar tree I went and I loaded up on pool noodles and craft foam. I also purchased some dowel rods from the craft store.

When I got home I used a serrated knife to cute the noodles in half so each noodle was 2 candles! I cut my dowel rods in half too. You could totally do this with a saw but I just broke them over my knee! I can’t help it. I am an impatient crafter. Next I cut flames out of the craft foam and with a little glue stuck the flame into the top hole of the noodle.

Next, was the best part! Decorating the yard! All I did was stick the dowel rod in the ground and slid the noodle over it. So stinking easy!

Bentley even helped!

Our yard was definitely a sight the next morning! But seriously, how fun? Who doesn’t want to wake up to a yard full of candles? Best part? They can be reused for everyone’s birthday! We have definitely started a new tradition!

Happy celebrating!

Dollar Tree Must Haves this Christmas

Christmas and the Dollar Tree….2 of my favorite things! I was super excited on my last shopping trip so I had to share all of the Dollar Tree goodness with you! Are you ready?

Y’all, how cute are these napkins???  We used them for our elf breakfast and they were absolutely perfect! How cute  would they be on on a hot cocoa bar?  Speaking of hot cocoa…check out this super cute mug!

I am always a sucker for a mug! This hand lettered one is adorable and would make a sweet gift!

Pair it with this adorable Santa container and you are set. This would be precious with Chex Mix or your favorite Christmas treat! Tie it with a cute ribbon and you have a gift from the heart!

I was really excited when I found this!  Do you know what it is? It is the ties to use on a wreath form and it looks like garland. Purchase the metal form at the Dollar Tree and twist these on to attach deco mesh or ribbon to your form. Genius!

This may be just a box of ornaments but you can do so much more with them! Attach them to the top of a gift, tuck one in a apothecary jar filled with faux snow to create a winter wonderland or do my favorite thing with them…. Hang them over your lamp shades to add a touch of Christmas sparkle to your lamps. It’s all about the small details!

I am totally obsessed with these clear ornaments and I buy them by the cart full! They are plastic so there is no need to worry about shattered ornaments. You can fill them with glitter, faux snow, pom poms, bells, beads, broken crayons, hot cocoa mix, and the list goes on! If you have a vinyl cutter go stick a monogram on it and you have a sweet personalized gift!

Some of my other finds (that I didn’t get pictures of) were:

  • Christmas window clings. I bought one for each child in Be8ntley’s preschool class and I am going to roll them up and tie them with ribbon and a tag. They are really cute and will keep the kiddos occupied!
  • You can never have enough paper straws and the Dollar Tree never disappoints! I made sure to grab some red and white ones for our hot cocoa bar.
  • And lastly, paper shred! Dollar Tree is the best place to buy paper shred and it is perfect for filling small gift bags, ornaments, and gift boxes!

Make sure to message me with your Dollar Tree finds! Happy Shopping!

Hugs,

Jessica
