End of School Printable

Woo hoo! School is almost over! Summer is so close and we are getting ready for a summer filled with fun! I love surprising teachers and friends with goodies to kick off summer! I thought I would share some budget friendly gift ideas with you and include a printable to attach!

My sweet Maddy is going to bring in these small bags of cookies for her classmates this year! I bought a variety box of cookies and printed a few sheets of this printable. I punched a hole through the printable and the bag and used a cute ribbon to tie them together! Easy Peasy!

My Bentley is finishing kindergarten this year. I can’t even believe it. I am already kicking myself for not enjoying more of his kindergarten year. It is such a different experience when it is your last one. He has had the best year and has made so many great friends! I knew he was going to love bringing his friends a surprise. He loves sunglasses so when I saw these at the dollar tree I knew he would love it! They had so many cute ones to choose from! I grabbed enough for his class mates and attached this printable to each one.

This one is my fav! Flamingos just scream summer to me! I found these adorable drink floats at Target in the dollar spot and the Dollar Tree. Score! The Dollar Tree even had these adorable paper flamingo straws. I have a thing for paper straws so I may have grabbed 1 or 5 packages! While shopping at Target I also found these Seven drinks. They are fruit flavored carbonated water. This one is Sangria and is so yummy! Before I put the can in I filled the float with paper shred. I used some gingham ribbon to tie around the can and straw. So easy and so fun! Perfect gift for a teacher who is dreaming of days floating around the pool!

Praying you have a Summer filled with fun and family!

Happy memory making,

Nothing But Net!

Do you live in a house of ballers? I sure do! Both of my boys eat, sleep and play ball! If I don’t hear the sound of a ball bouncing I know something is up. Jackson is to old for cute basketball snacks but not my sweet Bentley! He is still at the age where mamas sign up to bring a team snack so I jumped at the opportunity to make something cute! If you are on the list as snack mom I have a free printable just for you!

The snack was quick and easy! Cheese balls (because they look like basketballs!) in a clear bag tied with some cute basketball ribbon. I punched holes in the tags and tied them on with a string! Easy peasy and so cute!!!

Need a healthier option! I whipped up these last year! All you need is cuties and a sharpie!

I would love to see pictures of your basketball players! One of mine seems to be all grown up! Don’t blink mamas of littles!

Happy Saturday sweet friends!

DIY Inspired Rae Dunn Eggs

I love all things Rae Dunn. Like really love it. But let’s be real, it is hard to find it. Unless you can spend your days stalking your closest TJ Max it just isn’t gonna happen. So, when thinking of how I was going to decorate my bar cart for spring I knew I needed some fillers and what would be better than Rae Dunn inspired Easter eggs!

And can we say easy! You need 2 supplies! Wooden eggs (I got mine at Michaels) and vinyl cut in The Skinny font. You can download the font for free at Dafont.

Once your vinyl is cut using your favorite cutting machine you are ready to label your eggs! They are perfect to nestle in among your spring and Easter decorations. Now, where else can I put these sweet little eggs?

Praying your day is blessed!

Dollar Tree Must Haves this Christmas

Christmas and the Dollar Tree….2 of my favorite things! I was super excited on my last shopping trip so I had to share all of the Dollar Tree goodness with you! Are you ready?

Y’all, how cute are these napkins???  We used them for our elf breakfast and they were absolutely perfect! How cute  would they be on on a hot cocoa bar?  Speaking of hot cocoa…check out this super cute mug!

I am always a sucker for a mug! This hand lettered one is adorable and would make a sweet gift!

Pair it with this adorable Santa container and you are set. This would be precious with Chex Mix or your favorite Christmas treat! Tie it with a cute ribbon and you have a gift from the heart!

I was really excited when I found this!  Do you know what it is? It is the ties to use on a wreath form and it looks like garland. Purchase the metal form at the Dollar Tree and twist these on to attach deco mesh or ribbon to your form. Genius!

This may be just a box of ornaments but you can do so much more with them! Attach them to the top of a gift, tuck one in a apothecary jar filled with faux snow to create a winter wonderland or do my favorite thing with them…. Hang them over your lamp shades to add a touch of Christmas sparkle to your lamps. It’s all about the small details!

I am totally obsessed with these clear ornaments and I buy them by the cart full! They are plastic so there is no need to worry about shattered ornaments. You can fill them with glitter, faux snow, pom poms, bells, beads, broken crayons, hot cocoa mix, and the list goes on! If you have a vinyl cutter go stick a monogram on it and you have a sweet personalized gift!

Some of my other finds (that I didn’t get pictures of) were:

  • Christmas window clings. I bought one for each child in Be8ntley’s preschool class and I am going to roll them up and tie them with ribbon and a tag. They are really cute and will keep the kiddos occupied!
  • You can never have enough paper straws and the Dollar Tree never disappoints! I made sure to grab some red and white ones for our hot cocoa bar.
  • And lastly, paper shred! Dollar Tree is the best place to buy paper shred and it is perfect for filling small gift bags, ornaments, and gift boxes!

Make sure to message me with your Dollar Tree finds! Happy Shopping!

Hugs,

Jessica

Why You Shouldn’t Throw Halloween Candy Away

Mamas, does it feel like there is Halloween candy everywhere? Are your kids constantly asking for it? Have you threatened to throw it away 100 times? I totally feel you! But trust me, don’t do it! Don’t throw it away!

(Especially the Reese Cups, you may need them later! Candy tax, right mamas?)

Hide it if you need to but don’t throw it away. You are probably thinking I am crazy but trust me, there is a reason!

Think gingerbread houses!

Yes girls, they make great decorations for gingerbread houses! Especially if you have one of these beauties! Which is not only the perfect size for a whole family to do together but it is reusable (think spooky Halloween house, Easter cottage, Valentine’s Day love house)! You can purchase yours here using my affiliate link: http://amzn.to/2zse3rJ

I can’t wait to see pictures of your gingerbread houses covered in all of that Halloween candy!!!! The perfect way to recycle those sweet treats!

Happy decorating,

Leaves and Lights

My tomato cage tree is one of my favorite fall decorations. It sits on the hearth next to my fireplace and it’s warm glow just makes the room feel so homey. This is a quick and easy project with only 3 supplies: lights, tomato cage, and leaf garland! That’s it! Easy peasy!  Imagine how pretty they would look to have them sitting on your front porch. That screams come and sit and have a pumpkin spice latte! Now, go dig in the garage to find your old tomato cages and clean them up!

Rachael Ray Segment

Things have been a little exciting around here lately! Imagine my surprise while visiting Magnolia and the Rachael Ray Show called! Me! They called me!!! Totally Crazy! They asked me to do a simple craft and I absolutely love how it turned out! But what I was most excited about was my tablescape. Yep, my table.  Not the craft itself but that table that you only saw for a few seconds. Are you wondering why? I’ll fill you in on my entertaining secrets. Everything on my table was either from Walmart, The Dollar Tree, or Lowes Home Improvement. That’s it! Hello gorgeous and economical! Does it get any better?

Happy Entertaining!

**I apologize for the quality of the video. The show does not provide a link for past episodes so this was the best I could do.

A Little Chandelier Makeover

Ahh… Fall! I love everything about it! The changing leaves, the chill in the air, and all things pumpkin spice. As I pull the big tubs of decorations down from the attic I giggle with excitement! Pumpkins and leaf garlands fill the boxes and before I know it the whole house feels warm and cozy. Using garland on my chandeliers is one of my favorite details when decorating. It is small but makes a big impact!!

Hoping your homes are overflowing with pumpkins and leaves and you find time sit and soak it all in!

    Happy Fall Y’all!

Chores to the Rescue!

Mamas! Are you overwhelmed? I totally understand! Trust me! With 4 kids the struggle is real. And the house, well…..it can be a wreck! So, I knew something had to be done! Here are a few ideas that will hopefully help make life seem a little less crazy! Is that even possible?

Outdoor Fun!

Ahhh spring! How I love you!!! Longer days, flowers blooming, birds chirping, and warm weather! I can’t get enough! I love being outside as a family on these beautiful nights and thought these ideas would make out time even more special!

Life size tic tac toe is always a hit! Sometimes we play on the grass and sometimes we draw lines with chalk on the driveway. You can make your own set super fast and super inexpensive. All you need is some string or chalk, letters (you can get these at a craft store of Walmart) and paint!

My little guy loves cars so we decided to build him his own road that he can move around the yard! Some wood scraps painted black with a yellow line and he was ready to play! Have your wood cut in all different lengths and sit back as you watch their imagination soar!

Who doesn’t love an Easter egg hunt? It is one of those childhood memories that stick with you. Well, let’s take it to a whole new level. A glow in the dark hunt! Go grab your eggs from last years hunt and grab some battery operated tea lights from the dollar tree and let the hunt begin! This will become their new favorite tradition, I promise!

Here is to family fun and making sweet memories with those we love most!
